Alcohol and Medicine Don’t Mix

Alcohol is one of the most commonly used drugs in our society.

Many people don’t realize that mixing alcohol with your medicines can prevent the benefits your drugs are supposed to offer

Of the 100 most frequently prescribed drugs, more than half contain at least one ingredient that reacts badly with alcohol.

If you drink alcohol when you are taking antihistamines, analgesics, antidepressants, cough, cold, or influenza remedies, tranquilizers or even travel sickness remedies, you may develop unwanted side effects.

Before taking medicine, find out from your doctor or pharmacist whether it is safe to drink alcohol when you are on prescription or nonprescription medication.
