Before leaving the pharmacy, be sure you know the answers to the following questions…

  • Why is this medication being prescribed for me?
  • How do I take this medication?
  • When do I take it and how long do I take it for?
  • What should I do if I miss a dose?
  • How do I know if I experience a side effect?
  • What should I do?
  • Are there any foods, alcoholic beverages or self-medication products that I should avoid?
  • How will I know if the medication is working?
  • What should I do if the medication is not working?
  • How should I store the medication?
  • When should I refill the prescription?
