The Pharmacy Association of Nova Scotia (PANS) is the advocacy body for over 1,700 pharmacy professionals in Nova Scotia. PANS represents pharmacy professionals in all pharmacy disciplines, including community, hospital, academic, and corporate.

PANS Membership Tiers
Community Pharmacists

- 2026 Membership: $445*
- Term: January 1 - December 31
- Best-in-class professional liability insurance (per year): $140+
Pharmacists who have successfully completed their program, are registered or nearing registration with the NSPR as a Registered Pharmacist, and are currently practicing in a community pharmacy setting should select this membership option. Personal liability insurance is available for purchase, with basic coverage starting at $140.

Pharmacists who have successfully completed their program, are registered or nearing registration with the NSPR as a Registered Pharmacist, and are currently working in a hospital pharmacy setting should select one of the membership options below. Those that are members of the he Canadian Society of Healthcare-Systems Pharmacy receives a discounted membership rate. Personal liability insurance is available for purchase, with basic coverage starting at $140.
Students and Interns

Students who are currently enrolled in the Dalhousie University Collage of Pharmacy. Personal liability insurance is available for purchase with this membership, required when starting your rotations, at $50.

Students who are currently enrolled in the Eastern College’s Pharmacy Technician Bridging Program. Personal liability insurance is available for purchase with this membership at $50.

Pharmacy Professionals who were practicing internationally and who are in the process of becoming licensed in Nova Scotia through the Pharmacists’ Gateway Canada. Personal liability insurance is available for purchase with this membership at $50.
