Pharmacists only order blood work that is related to a medication that they are currently assessing. An appointment for blood work only cannot be booked. For example, if the patient has booked an appointment for a medication renewal assessment and the pharmacist determines that blood work is required for that medication, they will give the patient a requisition and follow-up with them on the results.
