Patients who take the medication Warfarin can now be part of a program called CPAMS which allows the patient to have INR testing at the pharmacy. Patients no longer need blood work completed at the hospital lab, instead a finger stick blood test is conducted with results given in 5 minutes. The pharmacist can provide dose changes and advice based on the results.
