Healthcare is short-staffed. Be kind to the pharmacy professionals who showed up for you today.
Nova Scotia is leading the world in pharmacy practice - this means more pharmacy services and more accessible healthcare options for you. However, accessible healthcare isn’t immediate - quality service takes time. And your patience. Please treat pharmacy professionals with courtesy and understanding; they are doing their best to give you the healthcare support you need.
A recent survey of pharmacy professionals in Nova Scotia indicated that harassment from patients and the public was a top issue. In response, PANS launched the KindRx campaign, which includes a Patient Code of Conduct and a Zero-Tolerance Policy for Harassment in pharmacies across Nova Scotia.
Copies of the Patient Code of Conduct have been mailed to pharmacies across the province in April 2024.
