    This learning module is designed to provide information for pharmacists and technicians on the Nova Scotia Take Home Naloxone Program (THN), including how to become a register THN Program Site, and THN Program form requirements.  The goal of the module is, to enhance your knowledge and awareness of opioid use disorder, the safety and effectiveness of naloxone, harm reduction principles and the current opioid crisis in Canada.

    This program will cover the topics listed in the course outline. Each module includes written content along with a recorded voice reviewing the slide topics. This will support both visual and auditory learning styles. The modules include interactive activities to keep the learner engaged. These may be in the form of written responses, games, or multiple-choice questions. At the end of each Section, there is a Quiz to test their knowledge. In some cases, there will be specific policies or procedures at a pharmacy that will be unique to your location.
